The winter wait is almost over and the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship is back at Brands Hatch this Easter weekend (18/19/20/21 April) to kick off the 2014 events and with an incredible shake up over the winter with teams and rider changes like never before, the stage is set for an epic season.

1. Four day Easter weekend to launch the season in style

2. 31 riders set for Brands Hatch opening round
The MCE BSB grid will feature 31 riders representing seven nationalities at the opening round of the season at Brands Hatch, with TT race winner Michael Dunlop featuring at the first two rounds of the championship.

3. Shakey back and bidding for four
Shane 'Shakey' Byrne narrowly missed out on an unprecedented fourth MCE BSB title last season and the triple-title winner is even hungrier to cement his position as the most successful rider in the championship's history.

4. Hopkins returns and hungry for glory
The 2011 season saw one of the most thrilling climaxes to a title decider in history as John Hopkins narrowly missed out by just 0.006 second in the final race of the season at Brands Hatch and now the American is back - he wants to go one better with the Tyco Suzuki team.

5. Brookes and Bridewell bullish about title chances
Milwaukee Yamaha's Josh Brookes and Tommy Bridewell both have yet to lift a championship crown, but both have equal amounts of determination to make it happen in 2014. The 2011 title-winning team have arguably their strongest line up to wrestle it back.

6. TT hero Hutchinson set for first full MCE BSB campaign
Road racing ace Ian Hutchinson overcame a serious leg injury to claim his position on the MCE BSB grid this season with FFX Yamaha and determined to prove he can succeed on the circuit after breaking records at the Isle of Man TT.

7. Kiyonari bidding for BMW success
Ryuichi Kiyonari made a shock switch to the Buildbase BMW team over the winter and the triple champion is aiming to replicate his past race-winning form with the Title Fighter contending team.

8. Firestarter Flint's Team Traction Control set for Brands Hatch debut
The Prodigy's Keith Flint recently announced his team's progression to the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship, with the multi-million selling artist aiming high with his team of James Rispoli and Steve Mercer.

9. Toseland returns to Brands Hatch this summer!
Double World Superbike champion James Toseland will make his return to the Kent circuit this July for the annual Summer Superbike event as he performs live on the campsite on Saturday night. The concert is open to all valid admission ticket holders - so don't miss it!

10. MCE BSB returns to the legendary Assen circuit
