Spectacular rally & fireworks to bring Cadwell season to a close

Friday, November 10 2017

Cadwell Park's season ends in spectacular style on Sunday 19 November, with stage rally action, a stunt show and a 'big bang' fireworks display.

The Lincolnshire Wolds venue will be transformed into a rally arena, with eight challenging stages comprising sections of the undulating circuit as well as paddock and access roads. The rally will run into darkness, when the routes will be lit by blazing headlights, glowing brake discs and flaming exhausts.

A diverse selection of cars is set to appear on the stages. These include the classic rear-wheel-drive 1970s Ford Escorts and Talbot Sunbeam Lotuses as well as the popular 90s 4WD favourites Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evo, as well as modern-day rally cars. There's plenty of diversity in the entries too, including Mazda MX-5 and Porsche Cayman sports cars.

The rally forms the second round of the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship, which is in its third year and is proving so popular that the entry quickly reached a capacity of 90 cars. The list is topped by Ian Woodhouse, who won last season's championship at the Lincolnshire venue back in April.

Once the rally has finished at approx 6.10pm, there will be a show from renowned stunt driver Paul Swift, who will perform a breathtaking demonstration of high-speed car control. This is sure to set the mood for a spectacular climax, with a 'big bang' fireworks display closing the 2017 events season at the venue.

Other activities at the event include a parade from a selection of classic rally cars including the brutal Group B rally cars from the 80s, a Scalextric challenge, face painting and a children's playground, all of which will be free of charge.

Tickets for the Cadwell Park Stage Rally and Fireworks are available in advance for £15 with free entry for under-13s. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
