Cadwell set for demo with triathlete Becky Kirvan-Rodgers

Friday, October 11 2019

Team GB World Championship triathlete Becky Kirvan-Rodgers will join in the action at Cadwell Park's rally and fireworks finale when she takes part in the lunchtime demo stage.

Becky's connection to rallying goes right to the top, as she is a former BTRDA and British Rally Championship Challenge Ladies National Rally Champion. But in the last few years the Lincolnshire-based driver switched her focus to athletics, where she quickly excelled at triathlons.

2019 saw Becky selected to represent Team GB for her age group, qualifying for the 2020 European Triathlon Championship in Sweden, and the World Championship in Canada.

Circuit Manager Paul Woodford said; "I've known Becky and followed her rally career from her early days, she seems to have a rare ability to rise to the top very quickly, and we're excited to see how she does in next year's triathlon World Championship. It's not the first time she's driven a rally car round Cadwell Park, so it'll be great for fans to see her briefly switching back to four wheels at her local circuit."

The North Humberside stage rally, round two of the MSN Rally Championship takes place at the Lincolnshire circuit on 17 November. Fans will be able to meet the athlete, as well as see the bicycle she'll compete with in 2020, then watch her demo a Fiesta R2 on the specially laid out demo stage during the lunch break, which will also feature a selection of iconic rally cars, including WRC and Group B machines.
