Darlington & District Motor Club descend on Cadwell Park

Sunday, July 18 2021

The Darlington & District Motor Club heads to Cadwell Park this Sunday (25 July) for a mid-summer race day in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Heading the billing is action from the Northern Saloon & Sports Car Club, where almost any kind of saloon or sports car is permitted. Grids are always full of variety and include Caterhams to Porsche 911s and pretty much anything in between.

Formula Three cars were a staple of the Cadwell Park calendar in the 1950s, so the 500 Owners Association will provide a flavour of that golden era with their contest for 500cc F3 cars from the same period, with big grids expected.

Modified Fords will provide further entertainment, with any UK or European Ford car built before 2011 permitted, while the mini but mighty Superkarts will whizz into action three times across the event.

The Classic and Modern Motorsport Club will also be in attendance, with races for their Intermarque Silhouettes, Supers and Tin Tops. They'll also bring along the Classic Challenge for Sports and GT cars from the 1950s and early 960s,

This will be the first event at Cadwell Park since the government lifted COVID-19 restrictions, however we would like to reassure all visitors that we will continue to have a range of measures in place, including enhanced cleaning and wide availability of hand sanitisers. Whilst it is no longer mandatory to wear a face covering indoors, we would encourage their use, particularly in busy enclosed areas.

Tickets are available one the gate priced at £16 per day for adults with discounts for 13-15 year-olds, while under-13s go free. Click here for more information.
