Our poll for MSV's professional photo of the year has been completed and we've counted all of your votes. Our shortlist of ten seemed to provoke as much debate as narrowing down all of the entries did for us, with the top two gathering the majority of the votes.
The winner will receive the coveted MSV Photo of the Year trophy, whilst we're sure all of the entrants will be sharpening up their snapping skills over the winter, ready for next year's competition!
The top three are listed below:
Third place: Az Edwards
Shot during the truck parade and firework display at the November finale of the British Truck Racing Championship, Az went for the classic long exposure night shot that lights up the track as well as showing the pyrotechnics at their best! This photo won 12% of the total votes.
Camera: Canon EOS 7D with Canon 24-105 lens. Exposure details: time 30sec, aperture F22, ISO 100, focal length 24mm
Second place: Jonathan Hatfield
Jonathan captured the moment at Cadwell Park's Mountain earlier this year with a great action shot that manages to capture speed with plenty of motion blur in the wheels and background. 31% of you agreed and it's our runner-up.
Camera: Nikon D300S with Nikon 70-200 lens. Exposure details: time 1/400 sec, aperture F7.1, ISO 200, focal length 140mm
First place: Andy Kelly
Once again the Mountain is the scene of another great action shot. Andy has captioned this "Brookes Monsters the Mountain", capturing the moment every bit as well as the image itself. The crowd in the background of the shot adds to the colour, whilst keeping the focus on Josh Brookes.
Camera: Nikon D300 with Nikon 300mm lens. Exposure details: time 1/500 sec, aperture F4.5, ISO 320, focal length 300mm
