Thundersport GB ready to rumble in Lincolnshire

Tuesday, August 03 2010

The Thundersport GB Club races into Lincolnshire this weekend (7 & 8 August) for a packed weekend of thrilling two and three wheeled action.

In action this weekend is the Aprilia Superteen Challenge, a class full of future talent. Chrissy Rouse has dominated the series in 2010 with 10 wins already, and has earned a comfortable lead in the championship and is red-hot favourite to claim the title at the end of the year.

Jake Dixon, Jack Keen, Jamie Thackeray and team mate Callum Bey are his challengers for the title. Local riders to keep an eye on this weekend include Tommy Mountain and Luke Buckingham who will hope to use their local knowledge to their advantage.

Defending GP1 Champion Peter Baker secured his first win of the year at Oulton Park and will be hoping for further success this weekend.

Championship leader Phil Crowe didn't have the best of rounds in Cheshire but the last time Thundersport raced at Cadwell, he destroyed the lap record and took three wins from three.

In the Supertwins category, a class that races within the Bikesport News GP1 series, Lee Reveley holds a big advantage over rivals Les Liney and Scot Adam, the trio enjoying some interesting scraps over the last few rounds.

Also in action this weekend are the Thundersport GP2, Thundersport GP3, Streetfighters, Buff Supermono, Termignoni Superstock 600, Formula 600, and sidecars.

Tickets for the Thundersport Club Bike Championships at Cadwell Park on 07/08 August are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
